All has been quiet here in the past week. Although it could mean that I haven’t done anything toward my reading/running/knitting goals, that is not the case. Well, it is the case for running, but more on that shortly. It mostly means that I have had a combination busy and lazy week where I have focused more on doing than reporting.
I started reading reading Eye of the World before I even wrote my review of a Darkness at Sethanon. It was like music to my eyes, even just reading the opening paragraph was just a different quality of writing – so much so that I read it out loud to my husband, who was not nearly as impressed as I. I’m not sure how far into it I am, but I don’t care, I’m enjoying meeting all these characters again.
As for my knitting, I’ve turned three heels .The second one was an absolute mess and had to be redone, twice. So maybe I’ve actually turned 4 heels… I don’t even know. But now I’m in the actual patterned part of the sock, and it’s coming. I’ve only done half a pattern repeat, so I’m not sure if I like how the texturing is in real life, but if not, I’ll have a pair of slouchy socks to wear around the house.
As for running. I have been bad (though I sit in my running clothes as I write this). I didn’t run last weekend. I just got distracted and wasn’t in the mood. Which is not a good thing, but it was the way it was. So this morning, I woke up and got myself out of bed and dressed and ready to go, only to discover that I charged my garmin 2 weeks ago in anticipation of running on the Tuesday. The garmin has to be charged at LEAST every 2 weeks. So what am I doing right now? Trying to be semi-productive while waiting for at least a 25% charge. I really hope that doesn’t start damaging the battery, but I really need to get myself out now, or I just won’t be running. And I really do want to be running…
